We design for digital media, particularly websites, CD-ROMs, DVDs and software interfaces, and we like to think we do it better than most. We specialize in design for dynamic environments, and situations where there is a particular functional objective or technical requirement.
Graphic design (when it is done properly) is not a decorative art. It is about influencing human perception, through the manipulation of visual stimuli, to communicate a message. Even when the message is primarily emotional, design is not about "eye candy", but about clarity. In that sense, even a static poster should be regarded as a functional object.
